Norwich ev technology-

ev fly rods are built using only the finest carbon fibres. Aerospace grade Intermediate and high modulus fibres from 44 to 78 million P.S.I., with elongation figures as low as 1% in an amalgamation employing an exclusive high-impact epoxy resin system. which is then pultruded into 'pre-preg' carbon sheet.

This coupled with my unique multi-layer compound tapered pattern designs and exclusive compound mandrill tapers, results in fly rod shafts with low mass and fast efficient recovery rates.

Whichever ev series fly rod you choose, you will find that casting with a Norwich rod is -

a uniquely 'tactile' experience.

From the blank patterns - hand cut from custom pre-preg carbon sheet through to the final ring wrap

and varnishing - they are individually built.

So, you may have to wait a bit longer for a Norwich rod, but your patience will be rewarded.

I want your pleasure in owning a Norwich rod to start from the moment you unwrap it and your

enjoyment in using it to increase with every fishing trip.
I now prefer to work one on one with my customer - building each rod to order.
For some a fly rod is just a tool, it is of no importance where it is made, or who made it, but I have

always believed that a fly rod is more than this - and that it is essentially a craftsman-made,

high precision item.

From the design concept of the blank taper - to the first trial cast with the completed rod, each one

deserves to be built and finished with such care and attention to detail that it will become

a treasured possession.

With the setting up in late 1996 of my own carbon-fibre rolling facility south of Edinburgh in the

Scottish Borders, on the Gala water, a tributary of the famous River Tweed.

I realized a long-held ambition to no longer be just another carbon fly rod "assembler,"

but to design and manufacture graphite fly rods and blanks in house

professionally for almost three decades now - from my original beginnings as a Bamboo Rod maker.

I still draw on these original skills and input these to the modern technology of carbon rod making.
