Saltwater rods are unique
- hand built from my exclusive special intermediate shock-absorbing graphite
mix, with a helical-bias inner core for maximum hoop strength (increased resistance
to ovality). In
addition the lower mid & butt section incorporates a new intermediate modulus
material with a 5% fibre volume orientated at 90 degrees.
This
gives the rod super resistance to ovality and tremendous stopping power, allowing
you to put maximum pressure on a running fish, without fear of collapse.
All rods are medium fast action designed to be comfortable to
cast and have the necessary authority to cope with the -
wind
which is ever present present on the flats and offshore.
Models rated for # 8 lines are for inshore species, Bonefish,
Permit, Redfish, and Snook. Models rated for # 9-10 lines are best for Big Bones,
Permit, Tarpon, Dorado, and Sharks in more windy conditions and when turning
over larger bulky
wind resistant flies.
Saltwater fly fishing is particularly hard on rods. All my ev3 Salwater rods are supplied in super tough un-sanded stoved semi gloss finish to retain maximum strength and impact-resistance.

Norwich ev series fly rod or blank, I will repair or replace the broken section at my discretion on three separate occasions.
